Why do franchise consultants exist?

Because investing in a franchise is not easy. In Street Smart Franchising by Joe Mathews, he states that only 1 out of 99 people will say YES! to their dream of franchise ownership.

Why only 1? Because how do you even select the right industry for your skills, interest, area? How do you know within that industry who are the best franchisors with the best track records? If you get that far, what are the right questions to ask? How do you think about this business investment if you’ve never owned a business before? How do you finance a franchise? How do you validate the opportunity? How do you manage the fear that is natural to any process when you are stepping out of your comfort zone and doing something you’ve never done before?
