When business is slow, the tendency of many owners is to freeze and feel helpless, but this is not the time to shrink back in fear. That will surely only make things worse. When the phone isn’t ringing, or customers are not coming in, this is the time to take action. Buy a new radio spot, go out and find a new networking group, pick up the phone and call past customers to see how they are doing and ask for referrals. Your action will create a reaction. Things may not change immediately, but just keep doing what you know works, and over time, it will! Resisting the paralysis that comes from fear is one of the most important lessons a business owner can learn.
